Labrador Retriever - Adult - Male
Adoptable Large Spayed/NeuteredUp-to-date with routine shotshousetrained

AJ had a wonderful home and family until the family’s father passed away unexpectedly. The neighbor decided at this point that his dislike for AJ meant he could tease him and put him in dangerous situations.

The remaining family wanted AJ to have a safe home with a loving, responsible family so have decided to rehome him. He’s used to having a people-size pool to swim in. If you enjoy trips to the lake, he’ll happily check the water temperature before you go in 🙂

AJ is house-trained and leash-trained. He doesn’t like to be left outdoors alone, and will bark obnoxiously. He is willing to tolerate other dogs, particularly females, but doesn’t show a great interest in playing with them in the adoption events.

At 80+ lb, AJ is looking for a home with plenty of room to stretch out, and someone who wants lots of love. He doesn’t like storms.

Whether dogs / puppies come in as strays or owner surrenders, we frequently have to make our best guess as to birthdate and breed.

A vet reference is required to confirm responsible pet ownership. We suggest first time pet owners look for an adult dog for companionship and to gain experience.

All adoption fees cover two vaccinations plus spay / neuter if using our veterinarian and surgery occurs as agreed upon. Additional fees for 3rd puppy vaccination, refundable spay/neuter deposit, etc. may apply. We are an all-volunteer, foster-based rescue. Available animals can be seen most Saturdays at Tractor Supply in Lenoir from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. For more information on our organization, our website is www.petpartnersrescue.org.
