Amethyst

German Shepherd Dog - Baby - Female
Adoptable Large Up-to-date with routine shots

Amethyst is the more rambunctious of the two sisters and is always ready to zoom around the yard or around my room.
She was the first one to learn her manners and not jump up on the puppy gate.
She’s very attentive, but doesn’t like to hover over you. She’ll come check on you, and then go back to a chew toy.
She adores Darwin, her doggy friend, and was brave enough to make friends with the neighbors’ Great Dane, Gracie. She’s still undecided on the cats.
Amethyst is puppy pad trained and is starting to hold her bladder much longer. She is not leash trained (we’re working on it this week), but has excellent recall when outside.

We weren’t able to get a picture of mom, so have provided a doppelganger so you can see what she looks like. Yes, we know it’s a picture of a male 🙂

These pups were born in July 2019. Mom weighs about 65 lb.

Whether dogs / puppies come in as strays or owner surrenders, we usually have to make our best guess as to birthdate and breed.

A vet reference is required to confirm responsible pet ownership. We suggest first time pet owners look for an adult dog for companionship and to gain experience.

Adoption fee covers two vaccinations plus spay / neuter if using our local low-cost spay/neuter clinic (overnight stay required) and surgery occurs as agreed upon in the adoption contract. Convenience fee equal to refundable spay/neuter deposit may be added if using our veterinarian. Additional fees for 3rd puppy vaccination, refundable spay/neuter deposit, etc. may apply.

We are an all-volunteer, foster-based rescue. We receive no funding from agencies. Available animals can be seen most Saturdays at Tractor Supply in Lenoir from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. We recommend interested parties contact us to pre-qualify for adoption so their new furry family can go home once paperwork is complete. Fees are required in cash. For more information on our organization, our website is www.petpartnersrescue.org.
