Little Bit

Terrier - Adult - Female
Adoptable Small Up-to-date with routine shotshousetrained

Little Bit strayed up to her rescuer’s home during some very cold weather. She enjoys her resucer and his mother, as well as the pit bull in their home. She doesn’t show any aggression toward food or toys.

We’re guesstimating her birthdate in Feb. 2017 and she weighs about 25 lb. She does feel comfortable with being held and is a lap dog when allowed.

Little Bit is timid around strangers and strange things. She may have been kept in her original home instead of being taken out to learn that new sights, sounds, smells, and strangers aren’t a cause for concern.

We would like to have her adopted into a family with at least one doggy friend to give her confidence. Taking her out into new places to learn flexibility and strengthen her understanding that her family will keep her safe is also advisable.

Whether dogs / puppies come in as strays or owner surrenders, we frequently have to make our best guess as to birthdate and breed.

A vet reference is required to confirm responsible pet ownership. We suggest first time pet owners look for an adult dog for companionship and to gain experience.

Adoption fee covers two vaccinations plus spay / neuter if using our local low-cost spay/neuter clinic (overnight stay required) and surgery occurs as agreed upon in the adoption contract. Convenience fee may be added if using our veterinarian. Additional fees for 3rd puppy vaccination, refundable spay/neuter deposit, etc. may apply.

We are an all-volunteer, foster-based rescue. We receive no funding from agencies. Available animals can be seen most Saturdays at Tractor Supply in Lenoir from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. We recommend interested parties contact us to pre-qualify for adoption so their new furry family can go home once paperwork is complete. Fees are required in cash. For more information on our organization, our website is
